True story of author Stacie Spielman's (Eve in the book) seven-year involvement with New Age spirit guides, one of whom claimed to be her Guardian Angel and told her he had been her husband in a prior life. According to Gideon, they had lived on a farm in the late 1800's, and Eve's son in her current life had been theirs in a prior life. Their son Mattie had suffocated when he fell into a grain bin.
Gideon was not what Eve imagined a guardian angel to be like. When he talked to her telepathically, he sounded more like a heavenly lover than a guardian angel. He claimed that after he died, he had worked his way up through the ranks to become a guardian angel, and that God had allowed him to become hers. Over time, Eve grew to love Gideon, and the love she felt from him in return was more than she'd ever felt from a human. Her relationship with him actually had the characteristics of a paranormal romance.
Later in their relationship, Gideon introduced Eve to Saul, a spirit who was to become her healing guide. Saul represented himself as having been a black man when he was human. He trained her in the art of hands on healing pulling pain out of people's bodies in the form of negative energy.
Eve actually became closer to Saul than she was to Gideon because she loved the hands on healing, and Saul was fun! On one occasion, when Eve's room-mate Carla had had a rough day, Saul offered to mix her a drink.
“Ask what kind of mixed drink she wants.”
Intrigued by the request, Eve relayed it to Carla.
“Strawberry daiquiris are my favorite,” Carla said with a teasing grin. “But unless I make a trip to the liquor store, I’m afraid he can’t do much about that.”
“Don’t be too sure,” Saul said through Eve. “One strawberry daiquiri coming up.” The soft drink began to pop once more beneath Eve’s palm, and a renewed flash of energy rushed through her hand. “Ask her to taste this, and see what she thinks.”
Handing the can to Carla, Eve told her to taste it and let Saul know what she thought of it. Carla raised it to her lips with a skeptical grin, and took a sniff. When she did, her eyes widened in awe. “Eve! You’ve gotta smell this!”
Eve took the can from Carla’s hand, having no idea what to expect. When she raised it to her nose, she gasped. The Sprite in the can had apparently been transformed. Wafting from the can now was the mouth-watering aroma of freshly cut strawberries!
“Taste it,” Eve whispered.
With a look of wonder, Carla took a tiny sip – and then another. A smile of delight spread across her face. “This is perfect!” she cried. “It’s delicious! In fact, I’d say it’s more than delicious. This is the best strawberry daiquiri I’ve ever had!”
“You’re kidding,” Eve said. “You mean it actually tastes like alcohol?”
“If you don’t believe me, taste it for yourself.” Carla had already downed half the daiquiri, and was grinning from one ear to the other. “Ask Saul to mix me a screw driver. But wait –” Rather than waste a perfectly good daiquiri, Carla finished it off, then crushed the can. “Let me get another Sprite…”
The screwdriver Saul mixed was a little weak for Carla’s taste, so he beefed up the strength and nearly knocked her on her ear. “Whew!” she exclaimed. “Another one of these, and I’ll end up with a hang-over.
Stacie loved the spirits guides like members of her own family. She would probably have stayed with them forever, if not for the fact that they eventually turned against her and revealed their true identity as demons.

I believe the author made many valid points with regard to dabbling in the paranormal. As Christians, we have supernatural beliefs. However, we cannot be so naive to think all of these beings are good and want our well-being. All we know is God is on our side.
What I find so fascinating is how patient the spirits were - they caused the main character to live in discomfort, settle into low paying jobs, and spend all her time occupied with them. This is how you know it's not from God. God wants us to be productive and happy, not miserable, confused and preoccupied. Anyway, downloaded the e-book for free from her site, and I really think it's worth a read. You won't be able to put it down.
One thing for sure is that no one knows when they are being deceived but by the Holy Spirit. This writer brings the truth to the surface prior to fully acknowledging God and His son Jesus as Lord. One can only know this truth if you are expose to certain deceptive errors. Stacie knew this and wants the readers to beware of our worst enemy who not only wants to deceive us (human beings) for a time but for as long as you let him. This deceiver is Satan. The meaning of Satan is adversary and the use of fallen angels.
As children and or Adults, we finds ourselves in some situations where we are culturally influence to participate into or to celebrate the unseen spiritual forces not realizing that it is demonically influenced or we are shown something that really interest us and we are drawn in because it seems interesting at first. For the writer, she was drawn in the spirit realm because of the love for her son "Kevin" and she wanted to protect her son. We are always disappointed in the end one way or another when the truth surfaces. When we realized how much time and effort we put into deceitful deeds its disappointing but at lease you know whose kingdom you're in whether it be of God or of Satan pretending to be as God in whatever form he chooses.
Determine to share the truth took courage on the writers part because reading this book in the manner it is written demands truth that is obvious (as it happened). Truth is someone and that someone is Jesus and many can't handle the Truth. In-order to come to Jesus we must be truthful otherwise who are we kidding.
Jesus said He is the way the truth and the life and no man comes to the father but by Him John 146.
I thank Ms. Stacie and her family for being obedient to God for sharing their experiences with a person like me. Before, I read this book, I too experienced harassments and I too received direction and prayers from Ms. Stacie who still assist me in getting rid of those demonic spirits that Jesus gave us powers over. Without guidance and experience from people who have had real experience with what they are dealing with and who have truly turned to God, people like me would not have been helped.
If I was DECEIVED and HARASSED by demons, I'm sure there are many countless Christians or impostors who are being harassed even as you read this review and even in the most innocent of ways.
This book will make you question yourself, your family and your generation/ancestry. You will desire help for your loves, friends and families and even strangers. The thing is that we are no better than the next human being because Jesus died for us all. We need to point people to follow Christ on a deeper level (to know Him only as your true deliverer). That is what this writer did for me and not only me but for members of my family.
I thank God for the writer of this book in Jesus name.
This is a book that everyone should read, especially parents. Today there is a lot of interest in the occult, and most people don't realize the dangers. Children and teenagers are especially vulnerable, and are being targeted. There are the Harry Potter books and movies, there are TV programs about teen witches and wizards, and in bookstores, books can be found on witchcraft and the occult. This book is not about witchcraft, but it reveals the dangers of any involvement at all in the occult. It is important for parents to realize this and discourage their children from any interests in the paranormal or in psychic phenomena.
I read the e-book version of the book, and couldn't stop reading. This is a true story. The author uses the name "Eve" as her character in the book, her husband is "Chet," and her son is named "Kevin"--not their real names, but the story is true. For years, Eve communicated with "Gideon," a spirit who claimed to be her guardian angel, and another spirit, "Caruso." She thought this spirit really cared about her. It was only after years of following Gideon's instructions in living her life, and after many negative experiences, that she discovered that she had been deceived and that her "guardian angel" was a demon!
Although Eve had started her life as a Christian, a college professor had caused her to doubt her beliefs, and she had become an agnostic. Her experiences with spirits were a result of getting involved with the occult through psychics and experimenting with a Ouija board, and she had moved into a house which contained negative spirits. The book is fairly long, but fortunately, it has a positive ending.
She's a crazy woman that thinks she knows more than doctors,that she knows more than any priest,preacher etc. She has stretched barely enough for one book into multiple books and articles she would love to sell to you. Don't do it...
This book was good, the story moved along but it was a little too long....I think there were a lot of things that could have been left out. However, it was a creepy story, and that is what I was looking for.
